4. Cloudflare Internet Speed Test

When you voluntarily run a speed test, the website or extension sends measurement traffic directly to speed.cloudflare.com. Cloudflare receives ordinary technical request information, including the IP address and network routing information needed to deliver the test. The test calculates download speed, upload speed, latency, jitter, loaded latency and connection stability.

NextWatch AI uses the result to recommend an appropriate YouTube playback quality. Inside the extension, a result may be used as the AI Auto HD quality ceiling when the user enables or applies that feature. The website may store the latest result in browser localStorage; the extension may store recent results and settings in Chrome extension storage. Speed-test information is not used for personalised advertising.

5. AI processing

When you request an AI feature, the prompt and only the relevant video, transcript, search or conversation context needed to respond may be sent to the production backend and OpenAI. Local playback controls and the speed test do not consume AI credits or require an AI prompt.

6. Local and server storage

The extension may store settings, recommendation memory, watch progress, conversation history preferences, entitlement cache, credit balance and speed-test state locally. The backend may store account, subscription, credit, security, usage and billing-fulfilment records. AI content is not intentionally written to the account-and-credit database unless a user-facing feature specifically requires saved history.

7. Analytics and website measurement

Privacy-filtered product events and website conversion or traffic measurements may be processed through Google services. These may include feature name, completion or failure status, extension version, coarse technical information and aggregate usage. Prompts, transcripts and complete video titles are not intentionally placed in analytics event parameters.

8. Service providers

  • OpenAI — AI responses, summaries, research and model processing.
  • Cloudflare — user-initiated Internet Speed Test measurement traffic.
  • ExtensionPay — subscription checkout, restoration and paid-status verification.
  • Stripe — payment processing, authentication, fraud prevention and credit-pack transactions.
  • Google — Chrome Web Store distribution, YouTube platform services and website/product measurement.
  • Render — API hosting, logs, security infrastructure and account/credit storage.
  • Netlify — public website hosting, content delivery and request handling.

Providers may process information in other countries under their own terms, privacy policies and applicable safeguards.

9. How information is used

  • Provide and personalise the disclosed YouTube, AI, speed-test, playback, audio and visual features.
  • Answer prompts, summarise or research videos, locate scenes and search YouTube.
  • Recommend and adapt video quality based on a speed test and live buffer conditions.
  • Verify paid access, maintain credits, fulfil purchases and provide support.
  • Secure the service, enforce limits, prevent fraud, diagnose failures and comply with law.

10. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information. Information is transmitted only when reasonably necessary to provide the requested product, process payments, operate infrastructure, measure reliability, secure the service, comply with law or complete a business transfer. Extension data is not transferred for personalised advertising, creditworthiness or lending.

11. Retention

  • Local website and extension data remains until cleared, overwritten through use or removed by uninstalling the extension.
  • Account, subscription and credit records remain while needed for the service, purchased balances, accounting, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
  • Analytics and infrastructure logs follow provider settings, security requirements and legal obligations.
  • Speed-test profiles used by AI Auto HD expire operationally; recent result history may remain locally until cleared.

12. Security

We use HTTPS, server-side secret storage, restricted backend requests, opaque identifiers, signature verification, rate limits and duplicate-request protection. No system is completely secure; do not submit information you do not want processed by the selected feature.

13. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

NextWatch AI’s use and transfer of information received from Chrome permissions and YouTube pages complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. The information is used only for disclosed user-facing functions and closely related security, billing, support and reliability purposes. It is not sold, used for personalised advertising or used to determine creditworthiness.

14. Your choices and rights

  • Do not use an AI feature if you do not want its prompt and relevant context transmitted.
  • Do not run the speed test if you do not want measurement traffic sent to Cloudflare.
  • Clear website localStorage, extension storage, product history or uninstall the extension at any time.
  • Manage or cancel recurring billing through the available subscription controls.
  • Depending on applicable law, request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability by contacting us.

15. Children

NextWatch AI is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required in a jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
